Biography
Barbara Kremser is theatre and cultural scientist, artist, artistic researcher, curator, co-founder and head of the university course for applied dramaturgy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (2018 - 2023). In 2022, she completed her doctorate at the Linz University of Art (Applied Art and Cultural Studies) with honours on the subject of "Exclusive Blank Spaces". In the 2020/21 winter semester, she was a fellow at the International Research Centre for Cultural Studies (IFK). She is also the editor of the art magazine IMMERHIN / AFTER ALL, winner of the Dissident Goddesses Temple Prize (2019) for her office installation "Büro Zimmer Frei" at the IKM. For 2024 she received the scholarship for performing arts from the City of Vienna (Cultural Affairs). She is member of the Institute of Strollology and, together with Andrea Glauser, she coordinates the Space / Culture section of the Society for Cultural Studies (Kulturwissenschaftliche Gesellschaft KWG).
