Career Design for Music Ensembles

 

Career and collaboration within artistic groups are shaped by shared visions, but also by differing expectations, roles, and individual wishes. This workshop invites participants to consciously reflect on collaboration within their own collective and to develop a shared perspective on their artistic and professional work. How do joint decisions come about? What are our goals? Where do different needs exist, and how can these be used productively?
Through self-reflection, facilitated group processes, practical methods, and expert input, participants develop strategies and tools that support them in their joint decision-making, goal-setting, and future collaboration.

 

Objectives

  • Managing group dynamics: Reflect on commonalities and differences, make expectations visible, and strengthen a shared sense of togetherness.
  • Career planning & goal development: Develop a shared vision and align individual and collective goals with one another.
  • Tools for decision-making: Learn methods for making decisions transparently, constructively, and jointly, as well as for handling everyday challenges as an ensemble.


This workshop is aimed at artistic groups (ensembles, teams from the fields of film, acting, and music theater, project-based artist collectives).

Barbara Steiner is a systemic coach and expert in marketing & communication with 10 years of experience in the music industry (label management, music export, promotion).
