Financial Support from the Human Resources Development Office – Center for Further Education (ZfW) for External Further Training Measures in Austria


Please note: Only further training courses that take place in Austria are eligible. If your course takes place in another European country, we are able to support in the framework of an Erasmus+ STT Mobility. Please click here for further information.

The ZfW assumes 50% of costs for such measures up to a maximum of € 500 per year. Both individuals and organisational units / departments can benefit from this type of financial support. The remaining costs must be covered by the organisational unit or department. Self-financing or the contribution of personal funds is not permitted.
Unfortunately, this financial support may not be used to help cover travel expenses.

The application process consists of just a few steps:
 

  • Step 1: Please enquire at the ZfW as to whether funds are available for the provision of financial support when it will be needed and provide information about the course date and location.
  • Step 2: Discuss and clarify your desired further training activities with your superior (extent/duration, costs, absences). Fill out the application form (see download) and send it, signed by you and your superior, to the ZfW.
  • Step 3: If your request is approved, the ZfW will send you back the confirmation for your personal documents.
  • Step 4: You can then book your further training programme. You will need to pay the costs yourself initially; they can only be reimbursed once you have completed the training course. 
  • Step 5: Participation in further training.
  • Step 6: After completing the training course, please send the invoice to the ZfW together with proof of payment and details of the account to which the costs should be transferred. A confirmation of participation or a certificate must also be enclosed. The ZfW takes over the processing of the counter-financing by the Financial Accounting. PLEASE NOTE: The costs can only be reimbursed after completion of the training course.
