The festival is organized within the research project “Reverse Ethnomusicology: Migrant Musicians as Researchers”, funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF (TAI724) and carried out at the Music and Minorities Research Center (MMRC) and the Departent of Folk Music Research and Ethnomusicology at the mdw–University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
