Inside the Fanny Hensel-Saal, you may use hearing protectors and/or noise-free fidget toys.
You may bring a jacket, a backpack, and/or a small bag with your personal belongings, but you must keep these with you during the activities, as there will be no coat check available.
You may not eat or drink inside the room, but before and after the activities, you can find refreshments in the hallway to the right as you exit the room. You may eat and drink outside the room
When you arrive at the Fanny Hensel-Saal, there may be a line to get in. If there is no line and the doors are open, you can go right in and sit wherever you like. If you arrive at the hall and the door is closed, wait until you hear applause before opening the door and going in.
Once inside the Fanny Hensel-Saal, on the right-hand side of the door, you’ll find an information desk where you can pick up a festival button and a program booklet containing all the festival information. You can also scan a QR code to download a digital version of the booklet.
You can choose any available seat. There is no assigned seating. The seating arrangement and stage layout will change between the first and second musical numbers on the first day of the festival. On the second day, the seating arrangement and stage layout will remain unchanged.
If you need help, look for members of the organization—you can spot them by their “TEAM” button.
There are several restrooms on the campus of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw). The closest ones are located right across from the entrance to the Fanny Hensel-Saal. If those are occupied, you can try the following options: in all restrooms, the water temperature can be adjusted, and there are automatic hand dryers that are quite loud. Paper towels are sometimes available for drying your hands.

During the academic sessions (keynote and panel discussion), the lights in the room will remain on, and the presenters will be amplified via microphones. Audience members may clap, ask questions and/or make comments aloud.
There may be lighting effects during musical performances. Sometimes the performers on stage will use amplification during their performance. The audience will clap between songs. The audience may cheer during or after songs.
Cheering will be more enthusiastic at the end of each event and section.
During all festival events, there will be people taking photos and recording videos. The recording will be directed toward the stage and will not focus on people in the audience. The photographer may take some photos that include the audience. If you do not wish to appear in the photos, you can sit on the left side of the room. This will be marked with signs.
You may also take photos and videos as long as it does not disturb others and you respect their privacy.
Thank you for participating in the TODAS festival.
We hope you enjoy the experience.
