Evelyn Fink-Mennel has taught at the “Center for Folk and Folk Music Research in the Lake Constance Region” in the Stella University of Music in Vorarlberg since 2010. As a violinist and after twelve years as a research assistant and practice-teacher at the IVE, she has been able to conduct research and teaching with the methods and repertoire of traditional music through research-led formal and informal teaching and concert settings.  Fink-Mennel‘s guiding principle is to embed music-making and repertoire in specific contexts and place them in the context of authentic social practice, whether as director of the music workshops “Glatt&Verkehrt” and ‘Radix’ or the music students ensemble “Stella Folk.” Her ensembles with children and young people at music schools (the “Fiddlekids” and “Fiddlecats”) also offer international students a space to apply and deepen their with folk music practice from their respective countries of origin. Fink-Mennel is a lecturer throughout the German-speaking world in higher education and adult education.
