CC-ECME Advisory board
The CC-ECME project is pleased to introduce its newly established Advisory Board, bringing together three distinguished international experts in Early Childhood Music Education: Margaret Barrett (Monash University, Australia), Jessica Pitt (Royal College of Music London, UK), and Diana Dansereau (Boston University, USA). The Advisory Board will accompany the project throughout its three-year duration, offering strategic guidance, providing critical insights at key stages, and contributing to the project's overall direction and quality.

Turning social. The Social-Transformative Potential of Music Mediation explores how music mediation as a distinct artistic-educational practice can foster social cohesion, enable dialogue, and create new forms of engagement. The contributions critically reflect on the conditions, limitations, and potentials of music mediation in various contexts, providing insights for scholars, musicians, and practitioners working at the intersection of music and society.

Wie lässt sich Instrumental- und Gesangspädagogik in einer zunehmend komplexen gesellschaftlichen und bildungspolitischen Landschaft verorten? Unter dem Motto „Embracing Ambiguity“ laden wir dazu ein, die Vieldeutigkeit und Wandelbarkeit der Disziplin nicht als Hindernis, sondern als Ausgangspunkt zu verstehen: Für einen produktiven Umgang mit Ambiguität, für die kreative Nutzung von Zwischenräumen und für neue Perspektiven auf Ausbildung, Forschung und Berufspraxis.

Wie zeigt sich das eigentlich Künstlerische im Musizierunterricht – und wie lässt sich darüber sprechen? Fragen wie diesen gingen Studierende und Lehrende in einem institutsübergreifenden Workshop am 16. Mai 2025 gemeinsam nach.
