MMRC Lecture 2023: "amenca ketane". Histories of Trauma, Music and Romani Empowerment

In light of the 30th anniversary of the recognition of Rom*nja as Volksgruppe in Austria, the 2023 MMRC Lecture puts a focus on struggles for self-/recognition through music and collective movements. In dealing with trauma as part of a long history of discrimination and genocide, musical performance and collective action become an important moment of remembrance and healing - and a call for Romani empowerment.
