“The Third Man” at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts? “Lasst hören [...] die liebliche Zithern”.

Who does not know the Harry Lime theme from the 1949 black-and-white film classic, played solo by Anton Karas on a Viennese Heurigen zither? But who has recently heard the sound of the Viennese zither live, or even played it themselves? Visitors can try out the zithers provided and gain fascinating insights into characteristic elements of Austria's UNESCO Inangible Cultural Heritage.
