In cooperation with the Međimurje County Tourist Board and the Croatian Center Vienna, the Department of Folk Music Research and Ethnomusicology invites you to a lecture and workshop entitled Međimurska popevka (folk song from Mečimurje) as intangible cultural heritage of humanity Croatian singer Lidija Bajuk (Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies, Zagreb) presents a musical journey through the traditions of the Međimurje region, touching on female spheres of expression, the connection between this tradition and nature, and the richness of this song heritage.
