Jana Haab
Student Assistant in the FWF project "(Un)heard Neighbors? Urban Ethnomusicology of Proximity"

Jana Haab holds a Bachelor's degree in Musicology from the University of Vienna and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Music in Society at the mdw, as well as working as a research assistant on the FWF project "(Un)heard Neighbors? Urban Ethnomusicology of Proximity". Jana‘s academic interests include sound, gender, and decolonial studies, with a particular focus on voice and identity. Outside of academic pursuits, Jana sings and plays in the Maracatu band MaRe (Brazilian percussion).
