Bachelorstudium Pädagogik und Masterstudium Erziehungswissenschaft an der Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg. PhD Studium der Erziehungs- und Bildungswissenschaft an der Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck; Titel der Dissertation: 'Pädagogisches Ethos. Zur Theorie des professionellen Handelns von Lehrpersonen'.
Tanja Obex arbeitete als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Gastdozierende am Departement für Erziehungs- und Bildungswissenschaften der Universität Fribourg. Ihre Expertise im Bereich der Konzeption, Umsetzung und Evaluation pädagogischer Projekte erweiterte sie im Forschungsbüro queraum in Wien. Sie forschte und lehrte am Institut für LehrerInnenbildung und Schulforschung der Universität Innsbruck, und seit Juli 2022 ist sie an der mdw als Universitätsassistentin im Fachbereich Bildungswissenschaft tätig.
Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind: Pädagogisches Ethos; Professionalität von Lehrer*innen; Wissens- und Wissenschaftsforschung; Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung; Bildung und Dekolonialität.
Tanja Obex studied Educational Sciences at the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg. She received her PhD at the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck (published as 'Pädagogisches Ethos. Ein Beitrag zur Theorie des professionellen Handelns von Lehrpersonen', 2023, Springer).
Tanja Obex worked as a research assistant and guest lecturer at the Department of Educational Sciences at the University of Fribourg. She expanded her expertise in the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational projects at the queraum Research Office in Vienna. She researched and taught at the Institute for Teacher Education and School Research at the University of Innsbruck.
Since July 2022, she has been working at the mdw as a university assistant in the Department of Educational Science.
Her main areas of work include: pedagogical ethos, teacher professionalism, knowledge and science studies, education for sustainable development, and education and globalization.
