Marlene Ecker wurde in Wels geboren. Sie studierte Musikerziehung an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien und Lehramt Geographie & Wirtschaftskunde an der Universität Wien. Ihre Diplomarbeit schreib sie 2018 am IMP über Demokratie-Lernen im Musikunterricht.
An der mdw arbeitet Marlene Ecker seit 2016 für die All Stars Inclusive Band und ist seit Herbst 2018 als funktionelle Assistentin für die Leitung der Band mitverantwortlich.
Seit 2019 unterrichtet sie am Wiener Parhamergymnasium und leitet dort die Schulbands.
Freiberuflich ist sie weiters als Musikpädagogin, Trainerin und Workshopleiterin tätig und entwickelt Unterrichtsmaterial.
Marlene Ecker tritt regelmäßig als Cellistin und (Chor-) Sängerin auf.

Marlene Ecker was born in Wels. She pursued studies in Music Education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and in Geography and Economics Education at the University of Vienna. In 2018, she completed her diploma thesis at the Department of Music Education Research, Music Didactics and Elementary Music Education (IMP), focusing on democracy learning in music education.
Since 2016, Marlene Ecker has been affiliated with the All Stars Inclusive Band at the mdw and, since autumn 2018, has served as Functional Assistant, jointly responsible for the leadership of the ensemble.
Since 2019, she has held a teaching position at the Parhamergymnasium in Vienna, where she also directs the school bands.
In addition to her institutional roles, she works on a freelance basis as a music educator, trainer, and workshop facilitator, and is engaged in the development of teaching materials.
Marlene Ecker furthermore performs regularly as a cellist and (choral) singer.
