Iris Zappe-Heller

Austrian Film Institute / Gender*Diversity*Inclusion

Zappe-Heller joined the Austrian Film Institute in 1993. In 2013, she established the Gender*Diversity*Inclusion department and chaired Eurimages' Gender Equality Working Group from 2016 to 2021. She joined the EFAD’s Gender Inclusion Working Group in 2018, where she took over the chair in 2021. She’s also been involved in the Sarajevo Conference and the European Council’s gender equality efforts. 

In 2023, she was appointed Deputy Director to the Austrian Film Institute
