STP (Short Term Project) Scholarships

STP scholarships (Short Term Project scholarships) make an important contribution to the mdw's internationalisation strategy by providing targeted support for short-term mobility to strategic partner institutions within the framework of IN.TUNE, Global Conservatoire and Erasmus+ cooperation partner institutions.

By participating in the projects supported by these scholarships, students can broaden their artistic and academic perspectives and contribute to the further international networking of the mdw.  The experience gained is incorporated into their academic achievements, although formal recognition is not mandatory. Funding is available for student mobilities that cannot be financed or realised through existing Erasmus+ programmes and in particular for blended mobility projects that combine physical and digital mobility.

Only mobilities to partner institutions with which the mdw cooperates within the framework of Erasmus+, within the European Universities Alliance IN.TUNE or in the Global Conservatoire are funded. Excursions cannot be funded by these scholarships!

APPLICATION AND AWARDING

Applications are possible on an ongoing basis. ATTENTION: Applications can only be submitted by the mdw teachers responsible for the project!

Grants are awarded based on the content and relevance of the project and budgetary availability.

Target group

  •     Regular students of the mdw (all degree programmes)
  •     Special support is given to fields of study in which a long-term Erasmus+ exchange is difficult to realise

Duration of stay*

  •     Europe: 3-4 days (incl. arrival and departure)
  •     International (outside Europe): 7 days (day of arrival and departure, plus 5 days of project-related work)

* a different duration is possible in special cases

Costs covered by the STP scholarship

Generally, only expenditure that meets the requirements of economic efficiency, proportionality and environmental compatibility is eligible for funding. This includes, for example, avoiding short-haul flights wherever possible (further information from the green mdw).

Please note: Travel costs for project leaders cannot be covered and must be borne by the respective institute. Alternatively, Erasmus+ teacher mobilities (STA) can be used for this purpose.
