Nina Roska studierte von 2015-2021 Schulmusik für die Sekundarstufen I und II an der Universität Potsdam (B.Ed./M.Ed.). Anschließend folgten Stationen an verschiedenen Schulen in Berlin, ein halbjähriger Auslandsaufenthalt an der Deutschen Schule London sowie zwei Jahre an einem Gymnasium im Berliner Umland zur Absolvierung des schulischen Vorbereitungsdienstes und anschließender Vollzeitstelle als Studienrätin für die Fächer Musik, Kunst und Englisch. 2023 absolvierte sie berufsbegleitend ein Zertifikatsstudium für Deutsch als Zweitsprache für Jugendliche an der Universität Jena in Kooperation mit dem Goethe-Institut. Ab März 2024 übernahm sie eine Stelle als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Musikpädagogik und -didaktik der Universität Potsdam und betreute dort die Studierenden intensiv in den fachdidaktischen Praktika. Über ein gefördertes 'Innovatives Lehrprojekt' entwickelte sie ein Unterrichtspraktikum, bei dem die Studierenden Musik und Englisch integriert unterrichteten; das Projekt bildet als DBR-Studie zugleich die empirische Grundlage ihres Promotionsvorhabens. Seit 2025 ist sie zudem als Lehrkräftefortbildnerin für Quer- und Seiteneinsteiger:innen im Fach Musik am An-Institut der Universität Potsdam (WiB e.V.) tätig und seit 2026 aktives Mitglied im DFG-Forschungsnetzwerk 'Wandel der Berufskulturen in den deutschsprachigen Ländern D-A-CH'.
Im Oktober 2026 wechselte sie als Universitätsassistentin an das Institut für musikpädagogische Forschung und Praxis der mdw.

Nina Roska studied music education for secondary schools at the University of Potsdam from 2015-2021 (B.Ed./M.Ed.). This was followed by positions at various schools in Berlin, a six-month stay abroad at the German School in London, and two years at a high school in the Berlin area to complete her school training, followed by a full-time position as a teacher of music, art, and English. In 2023 she completed a certificate program in German as a Second Language for Adolescents at the University of Jena in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut. In March 2024, she took on a position as a research assistant at the Chair of Music Pedagogy and Didactics at the University of Potsdam, where she provided intensive supervision to students during their subject-specific teaching internships. Through a funded 'Innovative teaching project', she developed a teaching internship in which students taught music and English in an integrated approach; as a DBR study, the project also forms the empirical basis for her ongoing doctoral dissertation. Since 2025, she has also worked as a teacher trainer for career changers and those new to the field of music at the University of Potsdam’s affiliated institute (WiB e.V.), and since 2026, she has been an active member of the DFG research network 'Changes in Professional Cultures in the German-Speaking Countries D-A-CH'.
In October 2026, she joined the Institute for Music Education Research and Practice at mdw as a University assistant.
