Selina Pilz

ist Bratschistin und arbeitet an der Schnittstelle von Konzertpraxis, Musikvermittlung und Community Music. Sie ist Mitglied im Saitenschneider Quartett, spielt regelmäßig mit dem Wiener Kammerorchester und gestaltet Formate zwischen klassischer Kammermusik, Improvisation und experimentellen Musikräumen. Ihr Studium absolvierte sie in Bratsche (Konzertfach und Instrumentalpädagogik) an der ABPU Linz und der MUK Wien sowie in Contemporary Arts Practice an der mdw.

Sie teilt ihr Wissen und ihre Musik in Konzerten (z.B. Jeunesse, Wiener Konzerthaus, Brucknerhaus Linz), Community Music-Projekten (z.B. Elbphilharmonie), Schulworkshops (z.B. Wien Modern), Musikgruppen (z.B. 4lthangrund) und in Musikschulen (Wien, NÖ). Sie ist Mitgründerin des Vereins Musikwerkstadt für Community Music in Wien.

Selina Pilz is a viola player working at the intersection of concert performance, music education, and community music. She is a member of the Saitenschneider Quartett, performs regularly with the Wiener Kammerorchester, and creates formats that blend classical chamber music, improvisation, and experimental musical spaces.

She studied viola (performance and music education) at ABPU Linz and MUK Wien, as well as Contemporary Arts Practice at the mdw.

Selina shares her knowledge and her music through concerts (e.g. Jeunesse, Wiener Konzerthaus, Brucknerhaus Linz), community music projects (e.g. Elbphilharmonie), school workshops (e.g. Wien Modern), music groups (e.g. 4lthangrund), and music schools (Vienna, Lower Austria).

She is a co-founder of Musikwerkstadt, an association for community music based in Vienna.
