Funding for Researchers

The mdw's internal funding programmes of the Research Support Office serve to advance the careers of researchers at all academic levels.

The yearly mdw Publication Fund for Early-stage researchers (since 2018), the Herta & Kurt Blaukopf-Award (since 2019), the Mobility Grant (since 2022) and the PostDoc Fellowship (since 2023) are aimed at Early-stage researchers in the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral phases.

By means of start-up financing and funding of external expertise, mdw members are provided with support in the application process for third-party funded projects, pilot projects in the field of artistic research are supported by the AR Pilot. Open Access funding can be granted for any kind of open access publications.
