Darko Piller is concertmaster of the orchestra Gardemusik Wien and a virtuoso violinist deeply rooted in Serbian musical tradition. Raised in Piroman, a village renowned for its violin heritage, he comes from a celebrated musical lineage that includes his great-grandfather Žikica Piromanac and his grandfather Zlatomir Vasić – Boja. He learned Serbian violin as a child from his uncle Boban Voz, a leading figure in traditional Serbian violin playing. Darko gained early recognition as a street performer in Belgrade before winning Serbia’s Got Talent, and later achieved international success with his brother Danijel, including top prizes. Now based in Vienna, he performs internationally, combining classical music with Serbian traditional repertoire.
