Ulli Mayer studied political science with a focus on gender studies and cultural studies in Vienna and Berlin. She is head of the GGD and teaches at the Institute for Cultural Management and Gender Studies (IKM)/mdw and the Institute for Culture and Media Management at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre (HfMT). In 2016, she initiated and led the course »kD_K Kritische Diversitätspraxis in Kunst und Kultur« at the Institute for Science and Art. Her queer-feminist, activist engagement led her to initiate the Pink Noise Camp in 2011 and to co-found the association pink noise. Association for the Promotion of Feminist Pop Cultural Activities.

Laura Eichenseer is consultant for organizational agenda for the GGD and coordinator of the Master's programme in Cultural Management/IKM at the mdw. She studied theatre, film and media studies in Vienna and went on to graduate from the Institute for Cultural Management and Gender Studies with a thesis on »Equality in Art and Culture«. In 2025, she became a certified social justice and diversity trainer.

Emma Maria Lakkala

Emma Lakkala holds master’s degrees in Gender Studies (University of Vienna) and Cultural and Cognitive Linguistics (LMU Munich) and has been working at the GGD since July 2025, focusing on knowledge transfer and extended education. Born and raised in Finland, Emma began learning the violin at an early age, initially using the Suzuki method, and later expanded their musical experience to include piano as well as performing in various bands and orchestras. In addition to working at the mdw, Emma is currently training to become a certified sex educator at the Austrian Society for Sexual Sciences.

Responsibilities: Development and implementation of extended education programs on gender and diversity competence at the mdw, collaboration in the IN.TUNE Working Group “Belonging, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion”

Veronika Leiner is the coordinator of the mdw Mentoring Programms and Institutional Alliance Manager for the European Universities Alliance IN.TUNE. She studied German and Spanish Literature and Linguistics as well as Cultural and Media Management. She worked, among others, for the community radio station FRO 105.0 MHz and Eurozine – European Network of Cultural Journals and Netmagazine and has been active in the context of cultural and media politics.

Jenn Stoll

Jenn Stoll studied Sociology, Gender Studies, and Anthropology and earned a doctorate in Sociology on the topic of trans* parenthood. Research and teaching experience in Gender, Queer and Trans Studies as well as in the field of equal opportunities work. Since 2025, Jenn is a consultant for gender and diversity issues at the mdw.

Responsibilites: Design, planning, and implementation of gender and diversity-related measures, projects and events on topics such as gender and diversity competence in curricula and teaching, bias-reflective personnel selection in art and music universities and gender diversity
