The Japanese-born pianist Nana Masutani received her first piano lessons at the age of four. In 2004, she began studying concert piano at the Toho Gakuen Music University in Tokyo with Prof. Nobuhito Nakai, which she successfully completed in 2009.

From 2009, Nana Masutani studied concert piano at the Vienna Conservatory, Private University (MUK) with Professor Thomas Kreuzberger. In 2012 she passed her bachelor's degree with excellent results. From 2014 she studied opera correpetition at the Konservatorium Wien (MUK) with Prof. Kristin Okerlund, as well as lied and oratorio with Prof. Carolyn Hague. In 2016, she passed her Master's degree in Opera Correpetition & Lied and Oratorio with excellent results. Upon her arrival in Vienna in 2008, Ms. Masutani won the Dr. Josef Dichler Competition held by the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna during a summer course. In 2012 she won the 3rd prize at the "International Osaka Piano Competition" in Japan.

Numerous concerts took Nana Masutani to many Japanese cities. While studying concert performance at MUK, Nana Masutani discovered her passion for using her piano playing in accompaniment as well. She then gained her first experience as a répétiteur working with fellow students.

From summer 2013, Nana Masutani successfully took over the musical direction of the Summer Opera at the Amthof in Feldkirchen, Carinthia. Her debut was very positively received by the audience and the press. In September 2015-2019, Nana Masutani took over the musical direction of the jOPERA Jennersdorf Children's Opera at the Cultural Center.

In March 2017, she served as répétiteur for the production of Eugene Onegin and in March 2018 of The Magic Flute at the Schönbrunn Palace Theater.

Since 2018, she has been passionately involved as a répétiteur in "Music Dramaturgy", the class of Robert Simma, as well as Marie Helle at the Music and Performing Arts (MdW).

2022 June she was pianist in the orchestra for "Last minute Don Giovanni", a production of the "Theater an der Wien" in the Chamber Opera.
