Roman Sadnik was born in Vienna and began his artistic career as a trained actor before devoting himself to vocal studies, including the opera class at the mdw and later privately under the direction of Walter Berry and Hugh Beresford. His path then led him directly to the Vienna State Opera. He went on to work with renowned directors such as Harry Kupfer, Peter Stein, Thomas Langhoff, Nikolaus Lehnhoff, Martin Kusej, Claus Guth, Peter Mussbach, Georges Tabori, Luigi Pizzi and Kirsten Harms.
