The 11th International Hilde Zadek Voice Competition, 2019
It was overshadowed by the passing of Kammersängerin Hilde Zadek on 21 February 2019 that the 11th Hilde Zadek Voice Competition took place from 22 to 27 April at the mdw.
Harald Huber Awarded Medal for Merit in Gold
As part of the event "Zwischen den Welten. Transdisziplinäre Verschränkungen von Wissenschaft, Kunst & Pädagogik" on 13 June, the University Senate awarded Harald Huber its Medal for Merit in Gold for his outstanding service to the mdw.
Honorary Membership in the mdw for Friedrich Cerha
On 24 May 2019, honorary membership in the mdw was conferred on Friedrich Cerha in acknowledgement of his unwavering commitment to contemporary music and its appreciation as well as in recognition of his internationally lauded output as a composer.
Erna Kremer: Lviv (Lemberg), 1896 – Maly Trostinec, 1942
On 16 October 2019, the project spiel|macht|t|raum will dedicate the hall used by the Centre for Further Education to a new source of inspiration for the 2019/20 academic year: Erna Kremer, a pianist and former instructor at our institution.
