Science Communication at the mdw - Perspectives and Outlook

It is becoming increasingly important for universities to enter into an exchange with different target groups outside the institution and the scientific community and to develop new forms of communication and cooperation for this purpose.
Citizen science, science communication and the acquisition of specific skills in these areas have become part of the academic self-image and career development, especially for early stage researchers.
This is reflected in the mdw's current performance agreement ("Leistungsvereinbarung 2025-27") in a focus on science communication and knowledge transfer. The Research Support Office is responsible for implementing the measures as part of a comprehensive process.
Program:
- Opening by the Rector
- Presentation of the planned projects and formats
- Discussion of needs, challenges and motivational factors for researchers at different career stages
We request the participation of one person from each institute/research center.
