Beyond Traditional Careers | How Higher Arts Education Can Foster Cultural Entrepreneurship

Artistic careers are becoming increasingly diverse and require not only artistic excellence, but also initiative, innovation, and entrepreneurial competences. Against this backdrop, the international panel discussion explores how higher arts education institutions can prepare students for these challenges and actively foster cultural entrepreneurship.

Following an opening keynote reflection by Andreas Sønning, Professor emeritus at the Norwegian Academy of Music, representatives from higher arts education leadership, cultural management, European higher education networks, and the student community will discuss current developments in artistic career paths, entrepreneurship as a core competence for artists, innovative approaches to higher arts education, and perspectives for the future development of the cultural sector in Europe.
