The Power of Creativity Lecture on Cultural Entrepreneurship & Project Idea Slam

The International Office warmly invites mdw students to an inspiring afternoon dedicated to cultural entrepreneurship, artistic citizenship, and innovative project development. The event
opens with a keynote lecture by Andreas Sønning on how artists can shape their professional
futures through creativity, entrepreneurship, and audience-centred approaches.

After the lecture, selected students will present entrepreneurial project ideas, artistic initiatives, and innovative concepts addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities in the arts and cultural sector in a Project Idea Slam. Inspired by the format of a poetry slam or elevator pitch, participants will have 5-8 minutes to communicate their ideas in a concise and engaging manner, followed by feedback and discussion with Andreas Sønning and Johannes Meissl. Creative presentation formats are strongly encouraged.

• Vision/Goal/Function/Social Setting
• Organisation and Funding
• Artistic Content
• Audience Characteristics/Analysis and Evaluation
