Grzegorz Grzeszczyk is a Polish clarinet and bass clarinet performer and educator based in Bangkok, Thailand. Since 2012, he has served as Professor of Clarinet and Bass Clarinet at the Mahidol University College of Music and as Co-Principal Clarinetist and Bass Clarinetist of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he has appeared in over 400 performances.
Prior to his appointment in Thailand, he performed with leading ensembles including the Polish “Baltic” Philharmonic and Opera in Gdańsk, the Wojciech Rajski Chamber Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra of India. He has also been active in the jazz scene, collaborating with the Piotr Wojtasik “Circle” project and the Nikola Kołodziejczyk Big Band, contributing to recordings awarded Poland’s prestigious Fryderyk Awards.
Grzeszczyk studied at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk and later specialized in bass clarinet at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam under Henri Bok. During his studies, he received numerous prizes at international competitions and festivals, including the Clarinet Festivals in Szczecin and Piotrków Trybunalski (Poland), as well as the International Bass Clarinet Competition in Ávila (Spain), establishing himself as one of the leading young bass clarinet soloists in Poland.
