In April, sixteen young musicians from the Young Masters Ensemble set off, bags packed, on a concert tour to Bella Italia. There they spent four days full of music amid the beautiful landscape around Ancona. With their performances, they delighted Italian audiences at the Teatro di Chiaravalle and the Teatro di Castelbellino.
Even though the daily schedule—even in Italy—was shaped by rehearsals and concert preparations, there was still plenty of time for shared experiences: a trip to the seaside in Senigallia, a stroll through the medieval streets of Jesi together with students from the local high school, and the culinary highlights of Italian cuisine, which were particular favorites among the ensemble and the supervision team.
The experiences on and off stage continue to resonate—in the ensemble’s interplay, in the palpable team spirit, and in the fond memories of four very special days together.
The trip was organized and co-financed by our sponsor, Kiwanis, for which we are especially grateful on behalf of the young participants.
