Relaunch of Bulletin of empirical music education research (b:em)

mdwPress is delighted to announce the successful relaunch of the journal Bulletin of empirical music education research (b:em). The journal has been redesigned and revamped with the move to mdwPress. This will be celebrated with a special issue on the occasion of the emeritus status of co-editor Prof. Dr. Andreas Lehmann-Wermser, who founded the open access journal b:em in 2010.

In the editorial, editors Michael Göllner, Valerie Krupp and Lina Oravec, together with guest editors Nina Dyllick, Jens Knigge and Ute Konrad, also write: “For b:em, the move means not only professional support for the OJS publication system, but above all the next step towards professionalization in terms of open access: our journal will soon be listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and all articles will receive a DOI. This will significantly increase our visibility. The quality of the journal will continue to be ensured by a double-blind peer review, and all articles will now also undergo a plagiarism check before publication.” [Translation by mdwPress.]

We look forward to supporting the journal’s next steps and warmly congratulate the editors on the publication.
