Bulletin of Empirical Music Research (b:em)

The Bulletin of Empirical Music Research is an international, Diamond Open Access online journal with peer review.

It offers scholars an international platform for the publication of high-quality empirical studies, meta-studies, and methodological reflections from the entire field of music education as well as from related disciplines, provided that their relevance to music education is adequately discussed against the background of current music education discourses. The Bulletin of Empirical Music Research is especially aimed at readers and scholars in German-speaking countries in order to bring approaches, results, and problems of empirical music education into a comprehensive discourse and to open up the possibility of scientific networking. Furthermore, researchers from other European and non-European countries are encouraged to bring their questions and findings into a scientific, international exchange.

The Bulletin of Empirical Music Research will be relaunched and published by mdwPress in the coming months.
