Described by Alfred Brendel as among the truly outstanding young chamber music ensembles, the award-winning Astatine Trio - named BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists for 2025-27 - has emerged as one of Europe`s most exciting young ensembles. The upcoming season sees performances at Wigmore Hall, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Ettlingen, alongside broadcasts on SWR Radio and BBC Radio 3.

In 2025, they won second prize and the special prize at the Franz Schubert and Modern Music Competition in Graz and were awarded the RPS Henderson Chamber Ensemble Award. The trio?s approach was greatly shaped by the mentorship of legendary pianist Alfred Brendel from 2022-25, and they are currently mentored by Anthony Marwood through ChamberStudio UK. As ECMA members they have been selected for showcases at Wigmore Hall and Solti Hall.

Early accolades include first prizes in Birmingham and Lucca in 2022, as well as the SEAM Prize for contemporary music at the 2023 Lyon Chamber Competition. They are current Hans Keller Chamber Fellows at the Guildhall School and residents at ProQuartet CEMC (Paris).
