Jasminka Stancul, born in Serbia, studied in her homeland and at the Vienna Conservatory with Professor Noel Flores and with Maria Tipo in Genf. Because of her musical talent and her exceptional gift for the musik of Beethoven she won the Internationale Beethoven Competition in Vienna in 1989.

Jasminka Stanculs soloistic activity brought her together with major orchestras like the Vienna Symphony, the Camerata Salzburg, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, the Stuttgarter Philharmony, the Philharmony Essen, the Nürnberger Philharmony, the Südwestdeutschen Philharmony, the Württembergischen Philharmony, the Berliner Symphony Orchestra, the Prager and the Slowakischen Philharmony, the Warschauer Philharmony, the Ungarischen Nationalphilharmony, the St. Petersburger Philharmony, the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Ochestre de Paris, the Haydn-Orchestra Bozen, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the Madison and Charlotte Symphony Ochestra, the Slowenischen Philharmony i.a.

She played with famous conductors like Daniele Gatti, Fabio Luisi, Nikolaj Alexeev, Semyon Bychkov, Asher Fisch, Ádám Fischer, Hans Graf, Lorin Maazel, Ari Rasilainen, Essa Pekka Salonen, Kurt Sanderling, Horst Stein, Jukka Pekka Saraste, Bruno Weil, Tomas Netopil, Aleksandar Markovic, Kasushi Ono i.a.

Jasminka Stancul is regularly guest at the Tiroler Festspielen Erl with Gustav Kuhn. She performed at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, the Schleswig Holstein and the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Schwäbischen Frühling, the Carinthischen Sommer and the Attergauer Kultursommer.

She is member of the Vienna Brahms Trio and plays in international halls in Chamber music. In close collaboration with the Wiener Streichquartett, one Ensemble of the Wiener Philharmoniker, she plays consistently at the Wiener Musikverein and in Japan.

Since Oktober 2013 Jasminka Stancul teaches at the Musikuniversität Ljubljana and at Oktober 2019 at the mdw - Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien at the Department for Piano.
