Liebe Kolleg:innen, wir gratulieren dem Exilarte Zentrum für verfolgte Musik zur erfolgreichen Einwerbung von Fördermitteln des Zukunftsfonds der Republik Österreich! Mit dieser Unterstützung können die Biografien von Wilhelm Grosz und Richard Fuchs in Druck gehen – ein bedeutender Beitrag zur musikgeschichtlichen Aufarbeitung und Sichtbarmachung von Komponist:innen, die im Nationalsozialismus verfolgt und vertrieben wurden. Gerne möchten wir Sie außerdem auf einige wichtige Termine und aktuelle Ausschreibungen aufmerksam machen:

Schließlich, eine Neuerung bei FWF-Anträgen für Einzelprojekte: Ab dem 01.12.2025 ist ein Anhang mit einem Nachhaltigkeitsstatement erforderlich (max. eine Seite). Das Ziel des FWF ist, durch die Auseinandersetzung mit der eigenen Forschungspraxis das Bewusstsein für Nachhaltigkeit zu stärken (nähere Infos FWF). Dear colleagues, We congratulate the Exilarte Centre for Persecuted Music on successfully securing funding from the Future Fund of the Republic of Austria! With this support, the biographies of Wilhelm Grosz and Richard Fuchs can go to press – a significant contribution to the reappraisal of music history and the visibility of composers who were persecuted and expelled during during National Socialism. We would also like to draw your attention to some important dates and current calls for applications:

Finally, a new requirement for FWF applications for individual projects: From 01 December 2025, an appendix with a sustainability statement (max. one page) will be required. The aim of the FWF is to raise awareness of sustainability by encouraging researchers to reflect on their own research practices (more information FWF).
