"Einander zuhören: Kunst, Feminismus und Philosophie"

Im Rahmen des diesjährigen SWIP Austria Symposiums lädt die mdw alle interessierten Forschenden, Künstler:innen und Aktivist:innen ein, die Inter- und Transdisziplinarität von Kunst und Philosophie aus einer queer-feministischen Perspektivezu diskutieren. Queer-Feminismus spielt eine wegweisende Rolle in Bezug auf Inter- und Transdisziplinarität. Gerade in den Künsten, zum Beispiel in der klassischen Musik oder im Film - Stichwort #metoo -, und in der Philosophie ist die Auseinandersetzung undder Dialog mit queer-feministischer Theorie noch immer selten und dringend notwendig. Das Symposium richtet sich an Interessierte aus den Bereichen Philosophie, Gender Studies und Kunst - gerade an der mdw freut sich SWIP auf einen regen Austausch mit KünstlerInnen,deren Spezialität das Zuhören ist.

“Listening to Each Other: Art, Feminism, and Philosophy”

The mdw is hosting this year's SWIP Austria symposium and invites all interested researchers, artists, and activists to join the discussions on the inter- and transdisciplinarity of art and philosophy from a queer-feministperspective. Queer feminism is at the forefront of inter- and transdisciplinarity. Especially in the arts, for example in classical music or film – think about #metoo -, and in philosophy, engagement and dialogue with queer feminist theory is still rare andurgently needed. The symposium is aimed at those interested in philosophy, gender studies, and art - especially at the mdw, SWIP is looking forward to a lively exchange with artists whose specialty is listening.
