This year’s national prima la musica competition took place in Vienna, jointly hosted by the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the MUK – Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna.
In our role as hosts, we gained deep insights into the creative work of young musicians from all over Austria – especially through the category “Ensemble Music Creative”, where our large new ensemble, the Young Masters Concert Band, achieved first place nationally with their performance on this year’s theme, “Sound of Cultures”. We are very proud of this achievement!
Numerous other ensembles and soloists from the mdw and the Young Masters Program in cooperation with the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School (JSBM) were also awarded prizes.
We warmly congratulate all the musicians and their teachers!
