Successes at 2026 auditions

 

  • Rössler Tobias horn
    (student of Thomas Jöbstl)
    will join the Vienna Philharmonic as an apprentice from 1 September, following a successful audition.

 

  • Stukalova Olha – flute
    (student of Walter Auer)
    has won the audition for a one-year contract as second flute/piccolo at the Klagenfurt City Theater.

 

  • Coso Caballero Pau – flute
    (student of Wally Hase – piccolo with Renate Linortner)
    has been selected for the “International Ensemble Modern Academy – Contemporary Music Performance 2026/27”, along with a scholarship from the International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA).

 

  • Milenkovic Sofija - flute
    (student of Wally Hase)
    was accepted as a scholarship recipient at Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Vienna, together with her guitar duet partner Itai Segal.

    was engaged as principal flutist of the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, conducted by Keri-Lynn Wilson, following an audition.

    has won the audition for the Vienna Philharmonic’s Angelika Prokopp Summer Academy 2026.

    has won the audition for the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra Academy 2026.

 

  • Dascal-Uifalean Iosua – percussion
    (student of Josef Gumpinger)
    has won the audition for the orchestra of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien.

 

  • Liszkay Leonóra - flute
    (student of Wally Hase - piccolo with Renate Linortner)
    has won the audition for the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra 2026.

 

  • Horvat Lucija - flute
    (student of Walter Auer)
    has won the Grafenegg Academy audition.

 

  • Unuk Brina - flute
    (student of Wally Hase)
    has won the audition for the Yamaha Music Europe Foundation 2025/26 flute scholarship in Austria.

 

  • Božek Niko - tuba
    (student of Michael Pircher)
    is a member of the North German Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

  • Münzker Maximilian - tuba
    (student of Michael Pircher)
    will become a member of the Thuringian Orchestra Academy following a successful audition.

 

  • Hofbauer David - tuba
    (student of Michael Pircher)
    has won the audition for the Orchestra Academy of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich (Hermann Levi Academy) and has been accepted there as an academician.

 

  • Senoner Filip - tuba
    (student of Michael Pircher)
    has won the audition for the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO).

 

  • Simon Unseld – tuba
    (former student of Michael Pircher)
    has won the audition for a position in the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra. He will begin his position with the orchestra in March 2026.

 

  • Winter Anna - flute
    (student of Wally Hase - piccolo with Renate Linortner)
    has once again won the audition for the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) and will be a member of the orchestra in 2026.

 

  • Unuk Brina - flute
    (student of Wally Hase - piccolo with Renate Linortner)
    has won the audition for solo flute with the Kiel Philharmonic Orchestra / Kiel Theatre.

    won first prize and the Premio Assoluto in the G Section II category at the International Competition Giovani Musicisti – Città di Treviso.

    won first prize in the ‘Advanced Junior II’ category at the New York Classical Music Competition.

    was awarded the Gold Medal in the ‘Young Artist’ category at the Vienna International Music Competition.

    won first prize in Category B at the 3rd Giuseppe Gariboldi International Flute Competition in Italy.

    won first prize at the 2nd International Chamber Music Competition Ferdinand Rebay with her guitar duo partner Kamil Aniol.

 

  • Varga Brina - flute

    won second prize at the 2nd International Chamber Music Competition Ferdinand Rebay with her guitar duo partner Ayaka Mukaiyama.

    were selected for the semifinals and finals of the 2025 Werner Pirchner Prize in Innsbruck.
