Successes at 2025 auditions

 

  • Scheurich Lena - clarinet
    (Student of Christoph Zimper)
    has won the audition for the academy position at the NDR Elbphilharmonieorchester.

 

  • Schmutzer Sandra - clarinet
    (Student of Christoph Zimper)
    has won the audition for the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra.

 

  • Friedl Hannah - clarinet
    (Student of Christoph Zimper)
    has won the audition for the 2nd clarinet (temporary contract) in the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.

 

  • Lantschner Petra - flute
    (Student of Wally Hase - Piccolo with Renate Linortner)
    Has a temporary contract as 2nd flutist with piccolo duties with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra from the 2025/26 season. In addition, she has been working in the stage orchestra of the Vienna State Opera since May 2025 until the end of October.

 

  • Pančur Manja - flute

    Her temporary contract with the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra (Graz Opera) has been extended - she will remain in her position as 2nd, 3rd and 4th flute as well as piccolo and alto flute (50% employment) in the 2025/26 season.

    has won the audition of the Orchestra Academy of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra (Prague).

    has successfully completed the selection audition for a scholarship with the Cusanuswerk in Germany.

 

  • Winter Anna - flute
    (Student of Wally Hase)
    was accepted as a scholarship holder of Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Vienna together with her guitarist Mihajlo Durdevic.

 

  • Moch Marvin - flute

    was accepted as a scholarship holder at Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Vienna and was selected for the Red Bull Scoring Challenge at Synchron Stage Vienna.

    has won the audition for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Academy and will be part of the academy for two years from September 2025.

    has won the audition for the academy position with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

    has won the audition for the position of solo clarinettist in the Sächsische Staatskapelle/Semperoper Dresden.

    has won the audition for the Summer Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic 2025.

    has won the audition for the academy position trumpet in the Tonkünstler Orchestra.

    was invited by the Lucerne Festival Academy to be a member of the "Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra" in summer 2025.

 

  • Anapliotis Cosmas - flute

    was accepted as a scholarship holder of Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Berlin together with his Berlin Wind Quartet.

 

  • Winter Anna - flute
    (Student of Wally Hase - piccolo with Renate Linortner)
    has won the audition for the 2025 European Union Youth Orchestra, EUYO.

 

  • Stanglmayr Martin - bass tuba
    (Student of Michael Pircher)
    has won the audition for a permanent position as solo tuba player at the "Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz" in Munich.

 


 

Award winners 2025

 

  • Fasching Marlene - horn
    (VBL Student of Thomas Jöbstl and pupil of Martin Holpfer - "Special Classes" J. S. Bach Music School / project in cooperation with the LBI)
    won 1st prize GOLD at the national final Prima la Musica 2025 in the horn solo category in AG III+. She also emerged as the national winner.

 

  • Kückmeier Annika - flute
    (Student of Sonja Korak - "Special Classes" J. S. Bach Music School / project in cooperation with the LBI)
    and Carolin Hauswirth (harp) won 1st prize in the chamber music duo category at the competition as part of the KUG harp festival Arpa GRAZiosa in autumn 2025.

 

  • Neubauer Samuel - clarinet
    (Student of Christoph Zimper)
    won 1st prize in the age category IV+ at the Prima la Musica national competition 2025 with 98.5 points and was also awarded the title of national winner. As an outstanding WSY talent, he will perform as a soloist in Carl Maria von Weber's Clarinet Concerto with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.

 

  • Unuk Brina - flute

    won the 3rd prize at the 11th Kobe International Flute Competition in Japan.

 

  • Delivicheva Avigea Louis - flute
    (Student of Sonja Korak)
    won 1st prize in category C and the special prize "Conrad Klemm" at the Moyse International Flute Competition 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

 

  • Teichmann Stella - flute
    (Student of Sonja Korak - "Special Classes" J. S. Bach Music School / Project in co-operation with the LBI)
    achieved 1st prize GOLD with 94.60 points in the age category IV+ at the Prima la Musica national competition 2025.

    achieved 1st prize GOLD with 94.00 points in the age category IV+ at the Prima la Musica national competition 2025.

    achieved 1st prize GOLD with 91.80 points in the age category IV+ at the Prima la Musica national competition 2025.

    has won the 2nd prize at the Júlio Cardona International Music Competition 2025 in Portugal.

    won 1st prize at the UK International Music Competition in the “Advanced” category (age group 18-22 years).

    was awarded 1st prize and category victory in category F (tuba discipline) at the Varaždin Woodwind & Brass Competition in Croatia.

    was awarded GOLD in the age category IV+ at the Prima la Musica Upper Austria 2025 state competition and was also the state winner in this category with 97.75 points.

    was awarded GOLD in the age category IV+ at the Prima la Musica state competition Salzburg 2025 and was also the state winner in this category with 99.50 points.
