Elija studied sociology at the University of Vienna. Throughout their studies, a diverse range of interests has emerged. These include music, cultural and knowledge sociology, social and political philosophy, as well as feminist schools of thought. In Elija's bachelor's thesis, a comparison of the perspectives of Theodor W. Adorno's and Alphons Silbermann's music sociology was discussed within the context of their theoretical backgrounds. Elija is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in “Music in Society” at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
The path to Elija's greatest academic passion so far, music sociology, was largely paved through practice. Elija has been passionately playing guitar and bass in bands since their youth.
