Debut concert Johannes Wildner

In this concert, Johannes Wildner introduces himself as newly appointed professor for Conducting at the mdw on 19 November.
In his former career he performed on the violin as a member of Wiener Philharmoniker, continuing as principal conductor of the Prague State Opera, general music director of Neue Philharmonie Westfalen and first guest conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra. He is also director of the opera festival "Oper Burg Gars" since 2014.
For his debut concert Johannes Wildner chose ambitious works off the usual concert repertoire.

The Webern Symphony Orchestra will be accompanied by Johannes Zeinler – the mdw student and winner of the International St.Alban Organ Competition 2015 accompanies the orchestra as an organ soloist.
