New mdw University Board Constituted

On 29 March 2023, the new University Board of the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna convened for its constitutive meeting.

Mag.a Angelika Möser was elected chairwoman, with Dipl-Ing. Paul Gessl as vice chairman. Mag. Knut Neumayer was elected as a fifth member.

Mag.a Angelika Möser: “I am very happy and honoured to accompany and support the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna on its successful path for a further five years as part of the University Board. Our goal on the University Board is to work together with the governing bodies to continue to consolidate the mdw’s position among the world’s top music universities.”

The new University Board of the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna consists of the following members:

Mag.a Angelika Möser, Artistic Director of the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra (chair)

Dipl.-Ing. Paul Gessl, Managing Director of the NÖ Kulturwirtschaft GesmbH (vice chair)

Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu, General Manager of AMOUR FOU Vienna

Mag. Knut Neumayer, Managing Director of the Künstlerhaus Vereinigung

Dr.in Artemis Vakianis, Executive Director of the Wiener Festwochen
