The focus of this symposium will be on FAMILIES ACROSS THE AGE SPAN, from music therapy work with children and their families to practice with elderly people and their relatives.
We are planning a lively programme of innovative, multidisciplinary, interactive sessions and presentations which will encourage discussion about A BROAD RANGE OF APPROACHES when working with families.
In addition to music therapy presentations and workshops, we are planning to hold discussions between music therapists and other professionals such as family therapists, and sessions where service users will provide feedback.
The central aim of this event is to provide an opportunity for professional and lively face to face exchange among music therapists working with families.
Therefore, the Organising Committee has now decided to postpone the Symposium by one year and we are hoping that we will all be able to meet at the conference in Vienna in person in September 2022.
However, for those who are still not able to attend, we plan to film all the events and then put together an edited on-line version of the conference which will be available to view after the event.
