@accio piano trio

In 2013, three young Austrian musicians with a passion for chamber music founded the accio piano trio at Mozarteum University Salzburg.

The ensemble studied at Sándor Végh Institute of Mozarteum University, taking classes with violinist Wolfgang Redik (Vienna Piano Trio) and pianist Tünde Kurucz, and participated in several master classes abroad (e.g. with the Trio di Parma and at Guildhall School in London). Since 2020, they are completing their studies by a Master in Chamber Music at HMDK Stuttgart with violinist Martin Funda (Armida Quartet) and pianist Florian Wiek.

The trio has given way more than 100 concerts in twelve countries (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Malta, Turkey, Georgia, China, Senegal). It has focussed on early works by great composers and the discovery of less-known treasures of the trio repertoire.

In 2021, the trio gave their debut concert at Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg and in May 2022 they won the 2nd prize at the 9th International Johannes Brahms Competition in Gdánsk (Poland).
