Section 99 Para. 4 University Act

Professorial Appointments pursuant to Section 99 Para. 4 University Act are simplified procedures by which only university lecturers and associate professors at the mdw may become university professors. The number of positions to be filled is determined in the Development Plan.

Applications must be submitted to the attention of the university professors in the department where the position is advertised, as well as to the Working Group on Equal Opportunities (AKG). The Rector invites the university professors of the respective department, the non-applicant university lecturers, the non-applicant associate professors and representatives of the student body to a joint session to discuss and consult on the applications received. The Rector may also call upon other experts in an advisory capacity.

On the basis of the hearing conducted, the Rector then selects the best-suited individual for the position.
