Liebe Kolleg*innen, wir begrüßen Sie sehr herzlich zum letzten Newsletter des heurigen Jahres. Das Jahr 2023 wird einige personelle Veränderungen für die Forschungsförderung bringen: Während des Sabbaticals von Therese Kaufmann von Jänner bis August 2023 übernimmt Vitali Bodnar interimistisch die Leitung der Stabsstelle. Valerie Gföhler verstärkt in dieser Zeit weiterhin das Team in den Bereichen Kommunikation und Veranstaltungen. Sophie Deuer hat die FF verlassen und wir wünschen ihr alles Gute für ihre weitere berufliche Zukunft. Der Bereich der internen Förderungen (u. a. International Mobility for Early-Stage Researchers) wird ab Jänner neu besetzt. Wir freuen uns, zu weiteren erfolgreichen Projektanträgen an der mdw gratulieren zu können: Stefan Gasch (Institut für Musikwissenschaft und Interpretationsforschung) zur FWF-Publikationsförderung des vierten Bands der „Neue Senfl Ausgabe“, mit dem Titel „Motetten zu 6 & 8 Stimmen, Kanons“ und Gerold W. Gruber (Exilarte Zentrum) zu den beiden Projekten „Jüdische ExilkomponistInnen im Fokus“ und „Fritz Kreisler, König der Geiger“, die vom Nationalfonds der Republik Österreich für Opfer des Nationalsozialismus gefördert werden. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Noch bis zum 15.12. können Erasmus+ Kurzzeitmobilitäten für Doktorats-/PhD-Studierende im Sommersemester beantragt werden. Im Rahmen dieser können Auslandsaufenthalte zwischen 5 – 30 Tagen absolviert werden, alle weiteren Informationen dazu auf der Website. Daran anknüpfend weisen wir auch auf die diversen OeAD Mobilitäten und Förderungen für PhD-Studierende hin, deren Fristen zwischen Ende Jänner und Mai variieren. Alle Informationen finden Sie auf der Website der Agentur für Bildung und Internationalisierung. Nur noch heute, den 12.12., können sich Nachwuchswissenschafter*innen an der mdw für das mehrmonatige Mentoringprogramm “Reach Higher. Reach Beyond.” bewerben. Das Programm unterstützt Frauen, inter* und nicht-binäre Personen in der strategischen Planung ihrer wissenschaftlichen Laufbahn dabei, ein Netzwerk aufzubauen und Skills zur Verwirklichung der eigenen professionellen Ziele zu erwerben. Dear colleagues, Welcome to this year’s last newsletter. The year 2023 will bring about some personnel changes for the Research Support Office: During Therese Kaufmann's sabbatical from January to August 2023, Vitali Bodnar will take over the management of the office on an interim basis. Valerie Gföhler will continue to support the team in regard to communication and events during this time. Sophie Deuer has left the Research Support Office, and we wish her all the best for her future career. The vacancy of the management of internal funding (including International Mobility for Early-stage Researchers) will be newly filled as of January. We are pleased to congratulate on successful project proposals at the mdw: Stefan Gasch (Department of Musicology and Performance Studies) for the FWF publication funding of the fourth volume of the "Neue Senfl Ausgabe", entitled "Motets for 6 & 8 Voices, Canons", and Gerold W. Gruber (Exilarte Zentrum) for the two projects "Jewish Exile Composers in Focus" and "Fritz Kreisler, King of the Violinists" funded by the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism. Congratulations! Erasmus+ short-term mobilities for doctoral/PhD students in the summer semester can still be applied for until 15 December. Within their framework, stays abroad of between 5 – 30 days can be completed, all further information can be found on the website. We would also like to draw your attention to the various OeAD mobilities and grants for PhD students, the deadlines vary between the end of January and May. Find all information on the website of the Agency for Education and Internationalization (oead.at). Only today, 12 December, early-stage researchers at the mdw can still apply for the mentoring programme “Reach Higher. Reach Beyond.” The programme supports women, inter* and non-binary persons in the strategic planning of their academic career, in building a network and in acquiring skills to realise their own professional goals.
