Date of performance1770-10-21 Revival
Dating of manuscript1770
NotesGluck's "Alceste" was premiered in December 1767 in Vienna and revived in October 1770. The paper used in Gluck_9948 suggests that it was made for the occasion of the revival. The score was written by Theresia Ziss and two of her collaborators. It shares four papers (P1, P3, P7, P38) and one copyist (WK71H) with Gassmann_18076, so that we can assume, it was copied in temporal proximity.
