ComposerBlaise, Adolphe-Benoît
Date of performance1768-xx-xx Viennese Premiere
Dating of manuscript1763
NotesAlthough the Viennese premiere did not take place until 1768, the score Blaise_18766 was written as early as 1763. At this time, there were already plans for a Viennese performance, which did not take place due to the lack of a suitable actress for the role of Annette in the ensemble of the Viennese French theater. (Cf. letter from Dancourt to Favart about a conversation with Durazzo from 25. May 1762, in: Charles Simon Favart, Mémoires et correspondances littéraires, dramatiques et anecdotiques, Paris 1808, Reprint Genève 1970, Vol. 2, P. 263-266.) Also the findings about paper (P22) and copyists (WK71P and WK60G) of the score support this assumption, since this paper was used by the Ziss workshop only in 1763 and 1765.
