What do we see? What do we hear?
The multi-channel listening environment Strob combines site-specific field recordings with prepared materials and existing works to create a location-specific four-channel listening space. Speaker objects that “stand on their heads” and are not wired. Where do the perceptible sounds come from? From outside, from positions behind the curtains, from the slightly open chest of drawers, from the upper left corner of the room? Why can I hear the bells of the nearby Luther Church now? Is it raining?
