IKM Club
Network for Cultural Management

 

The IKM Club – Network for Cultural Management is an association for students, former participants and graduates of the IKM university course in Cultural Management MA (CE) and previous curricula or doctoral studies at the IKM, as well as active and former teaching staff at the Institute for Cultural Management and Gender Studies (IKM) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Its beginnings as a community of interest date back to 2002 and led to the founding of the association as the ‘IKM alumni club’ in 2013. In 2025, the target group was expanded and the name changed to ‘IKM Club - Network for Cultural Management’. We now have more than 250 members from over 30 cohorts who are active in Europe and overseas.

The IKM Club - Network for Cultural Management supports communication between its members and their various fields of activity. It promotes the constructive exchange of knowledge and information on the subject of cultural management and cultural operations and offers services such as networking meetings, training events and a regularly updated digital membership directory.

In addition, the IKM Club - Network for Cultural Management cultivates national and international relationships and is committed to strengthening the public perception of the cultural manager profession and establishing the professional title.
