Consti Luger,

born in Wiener Neustadt in 1981, studied voice as well as Lied and oratorio(voice type: bass) at the Department of Voice and Music Theatre under Karlheinz Hanser and David Lutz. For some twenty years he worked internationally as a popular-music artist, musicproducer, and presenter, and also ran a recording studio with its own record label. At the mdw– University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Consti Luger currently serves as Deputy Chair of the Working Group on Equal Opportunities (AKG) and is, in addition, pursuingdoctoral studies in Cultural Studies at the Department of Cultural Management.

As a Senior Artist at the Department of Voice and Music Theatre, Consti Luger teaches Media Literacy in the form of a two-hour weekly academic lecture course. He is further responsiblefor establishing and developing the Career Services for singers, as well as for the technicalsupport and research relating to audiovisual (AV) recording techniques in the field of vocalmusic (opera and Lied).
