Consti Luger, born 1981 in Wiener Neustadt, studied Singing as well as Lied and Oratorium (Bass) at the Department of Voice and Musical Theatre in the classes of Karlheinz Hanser and David Lutz. Over the past twenty years, he has worked internationally as a popular musician, music producer and presenter, and has also been running a recording studio with an affiliated label for many years.
At the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Consti Luger currently serves as Deputy Chair of the Working Group on Equal Opportunities (AKG) and holds a mandate for the hmdw in the Students' University Representation (UV). In addition, he is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Cultural Studies at the Department of Cultural Management and Gender Studies and works as an assistant to Prof. Walter Werzowa (Media Composition and Film Music) at the Department of Composition Studies and Music Production. At the Department of Voice and Musical Theatre, Consti Luger teaches the course Media Literacy in the form of a two-hour academic lecture and is also currently responsible for developing the Career Services for Singers at the department.
