Andreas Früchtl completed his secondary education at the humanistic grammar school in Wiener Neustadt, then studied electrical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology and subsequently completed his sound engineering training at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He has been working as a freelance sound engineer since 1983 and provides sound engineering support for a wide variety of artists.
He created the sound design for musicals, operas and operettas, such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the music festival in Steyr in 2024, Nabucco at the Oper im Steinbruch in St. Margarethen in 1997 and Wiener Blut in 2000 (also in St. Margarethen). From 2000 to 2007, he was responsible for technical management at Radio Party FM, and from 2007 to 2011 he was technical director at Radio Graz. He is managing partner and co-founder of Radino – Mein Kinderradio, which went on air for the first time in 2013. He has been teaching Media Literacy to students at the Depratment of Voice and Musical Theatre since 1997.
